GT&T Ladies on show under floodlights
As part of its19th Anniversary celebrations, the Social & Sports Committee of the Guyana Telephone & Telegraph Company (GT&T) has organised a cricket match for female staff next Tuesday, at the DCC ground.
According to a release from the Company, the much anticipated match-up between the girls from Customer Services playing under the name ‘Supa Nova’ and those from Telephone House whose pseudonym is ‘Fibre Optic’ (Lightning Speed) will be played under floodlights, starting from 17:00 hrs.
The release further stated that the game has created quite a stir among the females within the Company which has at stake the Sonita Jagan trophy and bragging rights so a keenly contested match is in the making with both teams currently hard at practice.
Both teams are expected to name their final XI shortly.
