Donate $100,000 to Gordon Table Mandir
Dindial Lakhan hit a brilliant 100 and together with Mark Harold 67, made and opening stand of 146 as Floodlight B amassed 209 runs for 3 wickets in their allotted 10 overs, then dismissed Pine Ground A for a meager 54 to take the Derick Auto Sales winning trophy last Sunday.
Both Lakhan and Harold were in a savage mood as they hit the ball all over Hido Park in the Mahaicony Creek. There was a total of 26 sixes in their innings as Lakhan hit 14, Harold 9 and Shoaib Mohammed 3 as Floodlight B made light work of the home team. Earlier in the first semi-final between Floodlights A and Pine Ground A, Floodlights A batted first made 152 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs with Reza Joaquin top scoring with 41 and Ricky Deonarain 35.
Pine Ground A got to the winning total in the 19th over for the loss of 7 wickets.
In the second semi-final Floodlights B batting first made 162 with Shoaib Mohammed top scoring with 42 and Dindial Lakhan 25. Pine Ground B were restricted for 147 with Shoaib Mohammed returning with ball to take 3 wickets for 23 runs.
These matches were held as a fundraising event for the Gordon Table Mandir and trophies for the matches were sponsored by Deyrick Auto Sales of Happy Acre and Nideca Investment. The Floodlight teams made a cash donation of $100,000 to the Mandir.
