Montrose, McGillivry, Leonora win

Montrose, McGillivry and Leonora were the latest winners in the Seerja Construction Company / AL Sport & Tour Promotions 12th Christmas Term Demerara Primary Schools Windball Cricket Champions Trophy Competition for Girls which is being played, at the Carifesta Sports Complex.
In results of matches played:
Montrose beat St. Ambrose by 22 runs.
Montrose made 72 without loss off the allotted 5 overs with Shabana Haniff 26 and Aneisha Boodoo 23, being the principal scorers.
St Ambrose in reply were restricted to 28-2.
McGillivry defeated St. Angela’s by 9 wickets.
St Angela’s closed on 50 for no wicket with Maria Lyttle hitting a top-score of 14.
McGillivry replied with 51-1 off 3.2 overs.
Leonora then registered a 14 runs triumph over Monar Educational Institute (MEI).
Leonora complied 58-1.
MEI in reply reached 44-1.
Play in the tournament will resume on Thursday, at the same venue, starting at 09:30 hrs.
