Leader of the Alliance for Change, Raphael Trotman, has said that this month marks three years since the Prime Minister of Guyana, Samuel Hinds, continues to “squat” in the party’s Region Ten seat.
The opposition parliamentarian said that it is well known that the poll added up to see that the AFC won the seat.
He said that GECOM had advised the party that a mistake was made and that the courts would readily correct the situation.
However the leader said that it has been three years and the Prime Minister refuses to remove from the seat.
He said that party is still to receive justice and the people of Region Ten are suffering.
The opposition parliamentarian further stated that the living and working conditions in the region have deteriorated because the party they voted for is not been given a chance.
Trotman said that morale is low in Linden and a majority of people “sad” because of the situation.
The matter is presently being heard before Chief Justice Ian Chang in the High Court.
