The Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club (CSTC) has enjoyed a successful season, the highlight being Rudolph Mitchell’s sterling accomplishment of achieving the 100 race unbeaten streak.
That organization has now arranged several races to culminate its season of activities starting on Saturday October 24 with a 10K Junior Race Walk in Soesdyke starting at 06:30hrs.
The following day the CSTC will host the Rudolph Mitchell Century Race Walk, in commemoration of that race walker’s astounding feat of completing 100 unbeaten races on the trot.
This race starts at the Amelia’s Ward junction, Linden and ends at the Bayroc Recreational Center, Wisroc.
Activities continue on Sunday November 8 when the CSTC stages the East Berbice/Corentyne Tourism Awareness month race walk.
Competitors would convene at the Main Road and Philadelphia Street, New Amsterdam for a 06:30hrs start.
They would then proceed to the Rose Hall Community Centre, Canje for the finish.
The final event, ‘The Last Lap Race Walk,’ will be held on Sunday December 13 and starts at the Supply Primary School EBD.
The race walkers would then proceed to the Soesdyke Methodist Church for the grand finish.
All race walkers are advised to assemble at the respective starting points to ensure early starts.
