Your editorial dated August 6, 2009, captioned “The government is ignoring its foreign resources” reports that “Guyana has a mission in New York, complete with a Consular team headed by Consular General Brentnol Archer.”
This should have read Brentnol Evans instead, as Brentnol Archer is no longer associated with any aspect of governance in Guyana. When he did he last held office as a PNC Regional Chairman of Region #7 Cuyuni/ Mazaruni.
Your highlighting of this mistake would be appreciated as whereas Mr. Evans may be an honorable and distinguished man, Brentnol Archer finds no pleasure in being misrepresented as a representative of a regime associated with death squads, drug lord and narco trafficking.
