Dear Editor,
The caption of a Letter to the Editor in The Kaieteur News, “Mr. Kissoon’s claims are a complete misrepresentation of the true situation (06-08-09), caught my eyes.
Really? Truly? Mr. Kissoon misrepresenting? Naa – it couldn’t be. This could not be true of a noble professor who is an ‘honest’, responsible journalist. What does Mr. Kissoon have to gain by making claims which are “a complete misrepresentation of the true situation”? The person who wrote this letter must either be a dunce, a crony of the government, or one who does not like to hear or know about the truth.
Show me one instance, Mr. Editor, where Mr. Kissoon has not told the truth. His detractors make all types of accusations against this good man but he stands out flawlessly, as the knight in shining armour, defending all Guyanese. And he does not fail in responding to his detractors’ roar and squawk.
Mr. Kissoon is respected by his friends, his students and his fraternity. He would never betray their respect by not telling the truth. And he is the consummate Guyanese who is impartial and gets it right, right? Devanand Bhagwan
