Ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch yesterday morning nabbed a Canada-based Guyanese with cocaine strapped to his body.
The man was detained after police narcotics agents searched him at the security checkpoint and unearthed the drug. The man was an outgoing passenger on a Delta Airlines flight to Canada via New York at around 07:50 hours.
The drug was found to weigh one kilogram 136 grams.
The man is expected to appear in court soon.
