Goodluck tops field at latest GNRA Recorded Shoot
Next shoot set for Sunday @ Timehri Ranges

In very windy and at times extremely difficult conditions, leading local and regional marksman Ransford Goodluck topped the field at the latest Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA) Recorded Shoot held at the Timehri Rifle Ranges, Yarrowkabra, Linden Soesdyke Highway.
Goodluck easily won ahead of his rivals with scores of 34: 2 V’s at 300 yards, 32:0 at 600 and 33:3’s at the 500 yards range for a total score of 99:5V’s.
Copping second place was Ryan Sampson with scores of 28:1, 32:1 and 33:4 totaling 93:6 while Inspector Dane Blair shot 28:1, 33:3 and 29:0 to end third with a total of 90:4.

These recorded shoots are being held as part of GNRA’s preparations for the West Indies Championships to be held at the Tucker Valley Ranges in Trinidad and Tobago May 10 -17.
Competition will continue on Sunday before taking a break for cricket with the West Indies and England set to clash at the Guyana National Stadium Providence in eth first and second Digicel One Day Internationals, March 20 and 22.
On Sunday 29th, the shooters will be practicing using the JHC Targetmaster ammunition while the National Championships will begin on Sunday April 5 and continue on April 11 and 12 at the same venue.
Team Training will take place for the remaining three weekends in the month of April with the postal matches being shot concurrently. The Guyana team for the Caribbean Championships will then be selected and is expected to leave these shores on May 9 for the Twin Island Republic.
