Dear Editor,
I read Mr. Ramsaroop’s article published on 02/11/09 in the Kaieteur News . I think that Mr. Ramsaroop could have publicly written a special thank you to the 6° BEC (Batalhão de Engenharia de Construção), which in English means: Sixth Construction Engineering Battalion from the Brazilian Army Corps of Engineers.
This Battalion was in charge of the Lethem operation to build the one mile stretch of continuous highway in Guyanese territory, for which the entire cost was footed totally by the Brazilian Taxpayers Civil Society.
The current Commandant of the 6° BEC (Sixth Construction Engineering Battalion) is Lieutenant Colonel: Ten. Cel. Mário Brasil do Nascimento, who was in charge of the road construction. Adriano Kruel Budri
