Berbice River Bridge toll ridiculous
Dear Editor,
The joy of having the Berbice River Bridge has gotten the better of me. I, like many commuters, know what it is like to wait for crossing.
However, my joy turned into a nightmare when I saw the toll structure in your newspapers. Unbelievable! I pay $400.00 to cross my Canter truck on the Demerara Harbour Bridge and $500.00 to cross the Linden-Wismar Bridge.
To cross the Berbice River Bridge will cost me a lot more. This is a clear case of jumping from the frying pan into the fire. I am calling on the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to investigate this unbelievable toll structure immediately.
