McGill enjoy good showing in last weekend’s matches
Mc Gill defeated Meten-Meer-Zorg West Community Centre at the Meten-Meer-Zorg West ground as the New Line Aqua Farm 20/20 cricket competition continued over last weekend.
Mc Gill made 158 for 9 in the 20 overs with Rameshwar Persaud scoring 40, Prahalad Singh 37 and Naresh Bedasee 19. Bowling for MMZ; Vinod Rajkumar had figures of 4 overs for 25 runs with 3 wickets and Feroze Barakat 4 overs for 23 runs with 2 wickets along with Ashid Ali 3 overs 23 runs with 3 wickets.
Meten-Meer-Zorg made 73 with Seymour Evans making 21. Bowling for Mc Gill; Sudesh Persaud recorded figures of 4 overs for 24 runs with 3 wickets and Balram Aaron 3 overs for 4 runs with 4 wickets.
On Sunday Mc Gill whipped Cornelia Ida at the Cornelia Ida Centre. Mc Gill made 151 for 4 in the 20 overs with Naresh Bedasee making 73 not out, Prahalad 27 not out and Sudesh Persaud 20.
Bowling for CI were Ameer khan took 1 for 23 and Bisram Thomas 1 for 7. Cornelia Ida were dismissed for 77 runs in 20 overs in their response. Cornelia Ida’s batsmen Alim Khan scored 22 and Ameer Khan 16. Bowling for Mc Gill; Sudesh Persaud captures 4 for 6 runs and Balram Aaron 2 for 17 along with Jagdesh Balgobin 2 for 11.
