‘VJ’ terminally ill in DC
Vivian Jordan
Guyanese calypsonian, Vivian Jordan, popularly known as ‘Mighty VJ’, is terminally ill and is hospitalised at the Washington Adventist Hospital, Washington DC.
Kaieteur News was told yesterday that Jordan has stomach cancer, which has spread to his pancreas.
Last evening, his wife Faye Jordan, said that the calypsonian has been in the hospital for the past eight weeks.
She said that she cannot say how the chemotherapy will help him as he is in an advanced stage of the disease.
“It is very expensive,” she said.
Jordan and his family migrated just under a year ago to Maryland, USA.
