The Guyana Darts Association (GDA) in collaboration with the relatives of the late Leonard ‘Len’ Rambharose will stage an Open Doubles Dart tournament in memory of Len Rambharose at the Saltair Sports Club, Kingston Georgetown this Friday October 24. Starting time is 19:00hrs.
The event, dubbed “The Len Rambhorose Memorial Tournament has been organized in memory of Rambhorose who passed away last year.
A release from the GDA labeled Rambharose as an ardent darts enthusiast whose contribution to the sport was responsible for its progress over the years. He was the President of the GDA and also served the East Bank Darts Association in a similar capacity.
Rambhorose’ colleagues also remember him for his unswerving commitment to the sport to the extent that he unselfishly gave of his time and other resources to organise and sponsor tournaments.
Rambhorose also played an integral role in the organisation of the annual East Bank/South Trinidad annual darts exchange competition between the two countries.
Organisers have disclosed that the event will be staged annually with the winners receiving trophies and other prizes.
Clubs are urged to register their teams before the event.
