Robin Rogers, of Caneville Housing Scheme, was yesterday granted $150,000 bail for allegedly stealing a reel of wire rope from a city businessman.
It is alleged that the accused, on August 31, stole a reel of wire rope from Jamad Persaud.
Rogers was represented by attorney-at-law Jonas Coddett. The lawyer, in a bid for bail for his client, said that Rogers is a truck driver and has a wife and three children.
He further stated that his client’s truck was under repairs at the time of the robbery.
The lawyer assured the court that his client, if given his pre-trail liberty of being granted bail, would most definitely attend court on his next court date.
Rogers was granted bail by Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson Ogle. The matter is to reconvene on October 8.
