DEAR EDITOR,
I read Peeping Tom’s article (31-08-08) with the “Fineman is dead; Long live the Fatman”, which provided for some interesting reading.
In the article, Peeping Tom called for the Chief-of-Staff of the Guyana Defence Force to be promoted to Brigadier. Actually, the rank he holds (Commodore) is the naval equivalent of Brigadier (Army), as per the British Armed Forces rank structure which the GDF’s is patterned after.
In fact, the article should have been calling for him to be promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral, which is the equivalent of Major General, which is the next rank after Brigadier.
