Leslie Amsterdam Memorial U-17 Berbice cricket…Chattergoon spurs L/Corentyne to final
Former Guyana under-15 captain Harrinarine Chattergoon hit 69 as Lower Corentyne took first innings points from Central Corentyne to advance to the final of the Leslie Amsterdam Memorial under-17 cricket competition in Berbice.
Guyana under-15 left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie Kanhai took 3-23 and got support from Hugh George and off-spinner Yougeshwar Deonarine who took two wickets each as Central Corentyne fell for 83 despite 27 from Ganesh Jallim.
Chatterggon hit seven fours in his 69 and Ramesh Naidoo supported with 31 as Lower Corentyne declared at 142-4. Jason Jerrick took 2-28 for Central Corentyne, who reached 67-4 in their second innings with Bisham Persaud finishing unbeaten on 27.
Yougeshwar Deonarine took 3-5.
