The process of conveying a property under the land registry takes too long
DEAR EDITOR,
I would like to bring to the attention of the relevant authorities, if there’s any at all, the lengthy manner in which a Transfer of Certificate of Titles to Land takes.
I can recall some time back when I purchased my property which falls under the Land Registry, the process took no more than three weeks, but now it takes two to three months, and sometimes even longer.
I can understand if there are queries to be answered which can cause the delay in the process but there are cases in which there are no queries at all and you still encounter the same delay.
Transported Properties which must by published in the Official Gazette are now being processed much more faster than Certificate of Title matters.
I am appealing to other citizens who are experiencing such problems to speak out so that those in authority can intervene and have some sort of action taken.
