Dear Editor,
I could not believe my ears when I heard that Guyana failed to endorse the statement by CARICOM Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) on Cuba. Over decades, free of cost, the valiant people of Cuba have helped Guyanese of every political persuasion and status, with training, and top-class medical treatment and health services.
They say ingratitude is worst than witchcraft. The absurdity is Cuba with over ten million souls and no known history of aggression, poses no threat to anyone. To all Guyanese everywhere be reminded of the statement made by the great President of the USA, Abraham Lincoln, when he noted that; To sin by silence, when we should protest, makes cowards out of men.
Sincerely,
Elder Hamilton Green
