An attempt at a brazen robbery in the city is going to go awry because the victim would be prepared for any eventuality. The bandits would set out to commit a robbery but they would get the shock of their lives.
The victim is going to retaliate and at the same time the police would intervene. There is going to be a chase through the city streets and gunshots will ring out.

A jailbreak is in the offing. Already there are rumblings that weapons are being smuggled into the Camp Street jail to aid in a situation reminiscent of February 2002.
The authorities are going to sweep the jail inside out but it is not until an inmate squeals that they are going to find something that should not be in the jail in the first place.
There is going to be a mad rush to transfer some prisoners to other locations but the threat would remain because of the severe overcrowding.

A massive fraud would be uncovered at a private firm and the arrests that would follow would lead to a link that goes straight to a banking institution.
At the same time the bank would be investigating its own fraud that would amount to millions of dollars. The police are going to be kept very busy.
