(Kaieteur News) – A 23-year-old mechanic, Saif Mohamed of Affiance Essequibo Coast, Region Two, was granted $50,000 bail on Thursday for sexual assault.
He is accused of sexually assaulting a woman on Monday at Number One Cricket Ground at Affiance.
Mohamed appeared at the Anna Ragina Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Ravindra Mohabir.
He reportedly pleaded not guilty. Bail was granted with the condition that Mohamed makes no contact with the victim and if he sees her, he must maintain a distance of 100 feet.
The case was adjourned for July 28, 2026 for disclosure of statements.
