Quick response prevents spread of Lacytown fire
(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Fire Service said it responded to reports of a fire at Lot 87 Robb Street, Lacytown, Georgetown, on Wednesday.
The damaged business
One water tender and two water carriers were dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke emanating from the storage bond of Sue Fashion.
According to a release, firefighting protocols were immediately activated, and the blaze was quickly brought under control and extinguished by responding firefighters.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
