Kaieteur News- Authorities in Regional Division 4 ‘C’ have launched an investigation following the discovery of an unidentified man’s body early Saturday morning.

According to official police reports, the discovery was made at approximately 08:20 hrs. on May 9, 2026. A resident of the Lusignan community was reportedly walking along the roadway when he encountered the motionless man. The resident immediately alerted the Lusignan Police Outpost. Police ranks arrived shortly after the report was filed to secure the area.
Preliminary examinations conducted at the scene by investigators revealed no immediate signs of foul play. Officials noted that there were no visible marks of violence on the exposed parts of the man’s body. A medical doctor was summoned to the location, where the individual was officially pronounced dead. As of Sunday, the identity of the deceased remains unknown.
The body has been transported to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it is currently being held. A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted in the new week.
