(Kaieteur News) – A visiting Chinese acrobatic troupe is set to perform across Guyana later this month as part of activities marking the country’s 60th Independence Anniversary.
The performances, which are free to the public, will take place at multiple venues nationwide between 19th April and 23rd April, according to information posted on the Facebook page of the Chinese Embassy in Guyana.
The tour will begin at 6:00 p.m. on 19th April at the Leonora Track and Field Stadium, West Coast Demerara, and the troupe will then perform at the National Cultural Centre in Georgetown at 7:00 p.m. on 20th April. Tickets will be required for this show only and can be uplifted from the venue’s box office from 8th April.
Subsequent performances are scheduled for 21st April at 6:00 p.m. at the Albion Stadium in Region Six, 22nd April at 7:00 p.m. at the McKenzie Stadium in Region 10, and 23rd April at 1:00 p.m. at the Anna Regina Stadium in Region Two.
The tour is being co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Guyana and the Government of Guyana, with sponsorship from CNOOC Petroleum Guyana Limited. The visiting troupe is expected to deliver a series of performances showcasing acrobatic skill, balance, and artistic precision as part of the anniversary celebrations.
