2026 Guyana Harpy Eagles Regional 4-Day preparations…. Practice Match 2, Day 3
Kaieteur Sports – Matthew Nandu and his boys strolled to victory yesterday as the second Guyana Harpy Eagles preparatory match ended, as the champs continued their training and fine-tuning ahead of this year’s Regional 4-day Championships.
After making paltry scores of 129-10 in their 1st innings and a horrid 92-10 in the 2nd innings thanks to Junior Sinclair bagging 5-11; the Tevin Imlach led XI were faced with little hope of walking away with anything less than a loss.
Nandu and his men were exceptional with the ball mostly, as their 1st innings 146 was led by Tagenarine Chanderpaul who dug in for a super -gritty 64 from 239 balls (5×4).
Kemol Savory (18), Ari Kadir (14) and Veerasammy Permaul (14) were the other scorers for Nandu XI, after left-arm spinner Anthony Adams grabbed 4-32 from 15.1 overs.
Requiring 74 for victory, Nandu XI lost just three wickets before reaching their target in 26 overs. Opener Kadir had another nice innings, scoring 22 with 3 fours while all-rounder Romario Ramdeholl scored a brisk 40 off 49 balls (5×4), which was enough to see his team home.
The veteran Adams (1-15) who finished with 5 wickets in the match alongside fellow spinner Kevin Sinclair (1-27) and seamer Sylus Tyndall (1-8), were the wicket-takers for Imlach XI. (C. Ross)
