Police found ganja during operation at Mahdia
The cannabis which was found during an operation at the Mahdia Arcade, Region Eight.
(Kaieteur News) – Police in Region Eight on Thursday morning discovered a quantity of suspected cannabis during an operation carried out at the Mahdia Arcade.
According to a release, during the exercise, ranks were conducting searches in and around the Mahdia Arcade, during which a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis was found in a garbage bag, a garbage heap and a nearby bush in the area.
The suspected cannabis was taken to the Mahdia Police Station where it was weighed and amounted to a total of 755 grams before being lodged. The police said no arrest was made and investigations are ongoing.
