300 hours community service for Bartica woman nabbed with drugs
(Kaieteur News) – A 37-year-old Bartica woman was ordered to complete 300 hours of community service and pay a fine of $30,000 after she pleaded guilty to possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
The woman, identified as Kerrianna Simon of Fifth Avenue, Bartica, Region Seven, was arrested on Friday.
She appeared at the Bartica Magistrates’ Court that same day before Magistrate Tariq Mohamed. Failure to pay the fine will see her spending six months in prison in addition to the 300 hours of community service.
