New Amsterdam building gutted by fire
(Kaieteur News) – A three-storey building in New Amsterdam, Berbice that was owned by the Ministry of Labour was on Saturday evening completely destroyed by fire.
The cause of the blaze is unknown.
Firemen from the New Amsterdam Fire Service rushed to the scene, but by the time they arrived, the building was already engulfed.
No adjoining building was affected.
