Dec 25, 2025 Letters
Dear Editor,
Recently, several beautifully professionally captured photographs were published on the Vice President’s Facebook page, purporting to depict scenes from a Christmas social on Tuesday 23rd December 2025. The images appear to show an event held at State House, the official residence of the Head of State.
I am asking on behalf of a friend, and in the wider public interest, whether this Christmas social was a State event or a private or PPPC-related function hosted at State House. Further, clarification would be appreciated as to who met the costs associated with hosting this event — whether these were borne by the State or paid for privately.
Yours faithfully,
Roopnauth Hardyal
