GWI to rehabilitate and expand Shelterbelt surface water treatment plant

(Kaieteur News) – The Guyana Water Inc. (GWI) is preparing to rehabilitate and expand the Shelterbelt Surface Water Treatment Plant in Georgetown. This project is estimated to cost approximately $2.9 billion.

Bids were opened recently at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office and two contractors submitted bids for the project. The bidders are Sigma Engineers Limited Inc. and Hi-Pro Ecologicos SA De CV (Mexico).
