(Kaieteur News) – The extradition case involving businessman Nazar Mohamed and his son Azruddin Mohamed continued today at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman.
During the proceedings, the prosecution submitted several documents to the court, including statements from the United States authorities and a diplomatic note. However, the prosecution requested additional time to obtain and submit further documents from the U.S.
As a result, the matter was adjourned until November 24 to allow for the filing of additional statements and a further report. The court is still considering whether a prima facie case has been established to warrant extradition.
Following the hearing, supporters of the Mohamed family gathered outside the courthouse to show solidarity with the businessmen.

This kind of corruption has been taking place for years by many people. We have watched people sending their kids abroad for education and wondered how people could afford that given the exchange rate and the wages.
