Kaieteur Sports – The Georgetown Turf Club (GTC) will come alive once again on Sunday, November 16, 2025, when the Mocha Arcadia track hosts a Grand One-Day Gymkhana Horse Racing Event.
The event is set to get underway from 1:00 PM, all eyes will be on the starting gates as an exciting lineup of horses and jockeys prepare to thrill crowds with top-class action.
The day’s card promises a spirited mix of fresh horses and seasoned jockeys competing across several categories, including the J&K Open, L-Open, Guyana-Bred 2-Year-Old Maiden, and Unclassified events.
Among those expected to take to the track are crowd favourites Top Ranking, Glory Queen, Nitro, Damage Control, World Boss, Kiss, and many others.
Fans are encouraged to come out in their numbers to “Experience the Thrill at the Georgetown Turf Club!”
Admission is set at $1,000 for adults and $500 for children, with attractive prizes up for grabs across all categories. Registrations remain open at the GTC until Saturday, November 15.
Compton Sancho, a member of the organising team, shared his excitement for the upcoming event: “We’re bringing the energy back to the Turf Club, it’s going to be a day full of speed, excitement, and community spirit. Whether you’re a racing enthusiast or just looking for great entertainment, this is the place to be.”
So, saddle up for a day of fast-paced fun and family entertainment as the Georgetown Turf Club once again proves why it remains the heart of local horse racing.
