According to the police, the suitcase was shipped in a box from Florida, United States, and addressed to a resident of Lamaha Park, Georgetown.
“During the search conducted at around 16:30hrs yesterday (Thursday), the police found an orange suitcase inside the box. The suitcase was opened, and inside were eight compressed parcels with leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis,” the police statement said.
The suspected cannabis and the suitcase were taken to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters, where it was processed, photographed and weighed, amounting to 8 lbs.
