Kaieteur Sports – A contingent of four top Draught players left the shores destined for Trinidad & Tobago to participate in an International Draughts Open Championship from September 26 to October 6.
The Tournament will attract players from over 22 countries, where the grand showdown will take place at the Metro Hotel, Southern Main Road, Couva. Former Grand Master International Alexander Shvartsman and other prominent Draught Icons would be part of the action. Draught players are in for a treat as Trinidad and Tobago promised to showcase their vibrant culture and hospitality to all participants.

Dr. Ivor Burnett English, President of Transport Sports Club, is expected to have a test exposure to international Draughts. Dr. English has secured places in local competitions and is expected to live up to expectations.
