Kaieteur News – A 19-year-old man, accused of a series of burglaries on the Essequibo coast, Region Two was remanded to prison on Thursday.
The defendant, Kobe Emmanuel Stephen, a labourer of Darthmouth on the Essequibo Coast was slapped with three counts of break and enter and larceny charges and one count of burglary charge.
Stephen appeared before Magistrate Ravindra Mohabir at the Suddie Magistrates’ Court.
According to police, the court heard that between August 17 and 18 he allegedly burglarized the home of Sherluck Hopkinson. During that same period, he also broke into the property of Naranjanauth Persaud.
Between August 14 and 15, he broke into the property of Raymond Naranjanauth and Raymond Aaron.
Stephen pleaded not guilty to all of the charges and was remanded until September 23, 2025.
