Kaieteur News – A security guard reportedly attached to Atlas Security Services was stabbed to death by his colleague on Saturday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 19:00h in the vicinity of the Bank of Guyana and Hand-in-Hand Insurance Company on Avenue of the Republic and North Road, Georgetown.
Reports are that the victim and the suspect had a feud that spanned a year.
It is unclear the nature of the feud but Kaieteur News understands that one of the security guards sought to relieve the other and an argument ensued, resulting in the stabbing death.
At the scene, investigators were seen processing the location. The victim’s body was still at the scene.
Up to press time, no details were provided by the police.
