Kaieteur News – Trinidadian social media sensation Certified Sampson has arrived in Guyana for a packed itinerary of activities scheduled with Xperiences and the Guyana Tourism Authority.
“We are thrilled to welcome Certified Sampson to Guyana. His visit is not just about entertainment but also about fostering cultural and business connections,” said Matthew Gaul, representative of Xperiences. “This is an incredible opportunity to showcase Guyana’s tourism potential and business-friendly environment.”
His Guyana tour will take him beyond traditional performance venues to include visits to major landmarks across the country.
Certified Sampson, known for his distinctive character-based comedy skits featuring beloved personalities such as “Ezekiel” and “Screws,” and boasts nearly 2 million followers on Instagram, will participate in multiple events including speaking at the Econome IV Business Conference on Sunday, July 6th, and hosting a meet and greet session on Saturday, July 5th.
“Despite his busy schedule, Certified Sampson has made it clear that connecting with his Guyanese fans remains a priority. The meet and greet will provide ample opportunities for photo opportunities and personal interactions with fans,” Gaul disclosed.
The weekend will begin with Certified Sampson’s tours and experiences around Guyana, then a meet and greet session on Saturday, July 5th at 11:00 AM at MovieTowne Georgetown as one of the most anticipated highlights.
Fans can expect photo opportunities and direct interaction with the creator known for his character-based comedy featuring personas like “Ezekiel” and “Screws.” Merchandise will also be available for purchase at the venue.
Sampson’s visit underscores the growing influence of Caribbean digital creators in shaping regional entertainment and cultural exchange. His nearly 2 million Instagram followers represent one of the largest social media audiences in the Caribbean content creation space.
What sets this visit apart from typical celebrity tours is Sampson’s expressed interest in exploring business opportunities in Guyana. As part of his visit, he will meet with business support organizations and key stakeholders to discuss potential investments and collaborations within the local creative and entertainment industries.
This business focus aligns with Guyana’s growing reputation as an emerging hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in the Caribbean region.
Tourism officials view such visits as beneficial for promoting Guyana as a destination to younger audiences across the region who follow digital influencers.
