Israel’s food distribution points are ‘human slaughterhouses’
As more that 50 killed yesterday
(Al-Jazeera) Israeli forces are turning US-run aid distribution centres into deadly ambush sites following yet another mass shooting of hungry aid seekers earlier at Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) sites, the Government Media Office says.
It said in a statement the GMO described the aid zones – set up in Israeli military-controlled areas – as “human slaughterhouses” where starving Palestinians are lured and then shot dead.
“These are war crimes and crimes against humanity,” it said, calling for an independent international investigation and the immediate suspension of GHF’s delivery model, which has been criticised by rights groups and the UN as one that violates humanitarian principles. The director of Gaza’s Health Ministry warns that hospitals could become “graveyards” in 48 hours if no fuel is provided to power crucial generators.

Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance factions have accused the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation of involvement in “death ambushes”, noting daily massacres at the aid sites under the guise of humanitarian relief.
In a joint statement, the factions said the true aim is to dismantle the role of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees UNRWA, paving the way for forced displacement and ethnic cleansing.
The groups cautioned Palestinians against trusting “false promises” by Israel and its allies, and warned any individuals or groups cooperating with the foundation would be considered collaborators and legitimate targets.
They urged international legal bodies and human rights organisations to investigate the “suspicious intelligence role” played by the US project, linking it to the killing of more than 126 Palestinians at its aid dispersal sites.
The factions demanded the full return of aid distribution under UN agencies, especially UNRWA, which they said has the experience, legal mandate, and neutrality to carry out the mission safely.
Israeli forces have also raided the villages of Tal and Qaryat near Nablus in the occupied West Bank a short while ago, firing live rounds, stun grenades and tear gas.
Quoting security sources, the Wafa news agency reported dozens of Palestinians were treated after inhaling toxic gas during the raids.
The incursions are part of near-daily Israeli attacks across the West Bank, which have escalated in scale and intensity in recent months. They often involve home raids and live fire with multiple detentions typically carried out.
