Kaieteur Sports- Day three of the 2025 Kraft Mac and Cheese Squash Tournament brought thrilling matches and high-level junior squash action on Thursday at the National Racquet Centre. The event serves as a key warm-up for junior players preparing for next month’s prestigious CASA Championships in the Cayman Islands.

After three days of intense competition, standout players Justin Ten Pow, Emily Fung-A-Fat, Tiana Gomes, Jude Gobin, and Kaylee Lowe remain firmly in contention for divisional titles.

The 2025 Kraft Mac and Cheese Skill Level preparatory tournament inches closer to its culmination

In the Kraft Cheesiest division, Justin Ten Pow remained unbeaten after a five-game thriller against Demetrius De Abreu. Ten Pow took the opening game 11-8, but De Abreu rallied impressively to win the next two, 11-9 and 11-6, putting him ahead 2-1. Ten Pow, showing grit and smart shot selection, leveled the match with an 11-9 win in the fourth. Despite De Abreu’s strong start in the decider, Ten Pow switched into championship mode and closed out the match with a commanding 11-5 win to enter day four as the frontrunner.

Emily Fung-A-Fat impressed in the Kraft Spiral division with a dominant 3-0 win over senior contender Reagan Rodrigues, showcasing excellent fitness and focus. Kaylee Lowe also made a strong statement, dismantling Egan Bulkan 11-8, 11-5, 11-3. Meanwhile, Christopher Lowe cruised past Rob Edwards in straight games to continue his campaign confidently.

In the Kraft Three Cheese division, Nijad Bacchus eased past Azariel Mason with a 3-0 sweep, while Kaiden Alli upset Lucas Persaud in straight games: 11-7, 11-9, 11-7.

The White Cheddar category saw Namishraj Singh outlast Javon Daziel 3-1, and Giovanni Grant overpower Zahara Belle with an 11-6, 11-7, 11-3 scoreline.

The Kraft Thick and Creamy division featured dominant displays from Nidal Bacchus, Zoey McDonald, and Tiana Gomes. Bacchus defeated Maxwell Viapree 11-2, 11-7, 11-6, while McDonald blanked Rafael Brathwaite 3-0. Gomes continued her strong run with a statement win over top-seeded Tehani Munroe, battling through a four-game test: 11-7, 11-13, 11-9, 11-3.

In the Kraft Original division, Jude Gobin and Azaria Proffit picked up important wins against Ingram Edwards and Connor Jacobus, respectively, as the race for the finals intensifies.

Elsewhere, Shiloh Asregado and Ethan Bulkan each registered key victories in their respective categories.

The tournament has now shifted to the Georgetown Club, with the final rounds promising a dramatic finish on Sunday. Sponsored by Kraft Mac and Cheese, the tournament continues to spotlight the nation’s rising squash stars as they prepare to take on the region’s best at next month’s CASA Championships.
