Kaieteur Sports- The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) continues to be in a triumphant mood as yet another of their representative teams have won the inter county cricket competition.
This time male U19 cricket team has come out victorious in the recently concluded Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) U19 inter county 50 overs competition.
Although the competition, which was played in Demerara was affected by the inclement weather, Berbice played unbeaten, winning two of their three matches with the other rained out.
They defeated Essequibo and the Select XI with the rain being the deciding factor in their clash with Demerara.
The BCB is delighted with the win since the team’s preparation was severely affected by the inclement weather with hardly any U19 cricket being played for the year.
The BCB has a lot to shout about. The win by the U19 team has seen the county now winning six out of seven inter county tournaments organized and completed by the GCB so far.
The President, Executives and members of the BCB takes the opportunity to congratulate all the teams for the outstanding performances so far, despite some trying circumstances.
