Dear Editor
As Guyana stands on the precipice of a new era, the political landscape unfolds like a stage where familiar actors attempt to script yet another performance. Elson, the chosen puppet, dangles on the strings of Norton—a shadow in the grander illusion, orchestrated by the ever-present Jagdeo-Ali machine. The people have seen this play before, the same tired script of control, division, and empty promises.
But in this moment, a new force emerges. A leader not bound by the old chains of patronage but driven by competence, intellect, and vision. Nigel. A man educated not just in academics but in the art of leadership. A statesman, not a showman. He is the one who possesses the clarity to navigate Guyana into the 21st century, to take the country beyond mere survival and into a future of prosperity, innovation, and national pride.
Yet, every great movement requires a pillar of strength. And here stands Amanza—the game changer, the leader who commands the power of a vital and often underestimated force: the women of Guyana. Never before has a Prime Ministerial candidate held such leverage, such a deep and authentic connection with the backbone of the nation. Women, long sidelined in the corridors of power, now find a voice in her. Amanza is not just a candidate; she is a revolution. A symbol of empowerment, of change, of the kind of leadership that listens, understands, and delivers. The choice before the people is stark. To remain shackled in the cycles of political puppetry or to break free into a future of bold, intelligent governance. Guyana stands at the edge of transformation. The question is: will it choose to rise?
Regards
Susan Belmont
