Fire destroys guest house at Puruni
Kaieteur News- A late afternoon fire on Thursday destroyed a guest house at Puruni Landing, Region Seven.
Fire rips through a guest house at Puruni, Region Seven
The owner has been identified only as ‘Sawman’, who also lived at the guest house with his family.
Reports are that the blaze erupted sometime after 16:00hrs. Residents used an excavator and formed a bucket brigade to contain and extinguish the blaze but it was not enough to save the building from being destroyed.
Investigations are on-going but victims allege that the fire started when an electrical fan caught fire.
