Kaieteur News- Three thieves stormed into the First Street, Herstelling, East Bank Demerara (EBD) home of a man and stole three mobile phones.
The trio then made good their escape but not without a fight with the victim.
The crime was caught on Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage and published on High Tech Auto Electrical Service’s Facebook page. The incident reportedly occurred between 03:56h and 04:06h.
The footage showed the three bandits scanning the area before climbing over the man’s concrete fence. One of the bandits who appeared to be armed with a knife had his face covered in a jersey while his two accomplices were casually dressed and their faces uncovered.
Upon entry into the yard, the trio was seen taking their phone’s flashlight, and looking into a bus that was within the compound after which they broke into the victim’s home.
The victim was heard saying, “This is an early morning robbery … three hungry belly bandits just climb up me veranda, come in me house (and) take me cell phones.”
The victim continued, “These bannaz them getting out of hand.”
The thieves reportedly opened the man’s bedroom door but while entering the room, he was awaken.
“When I see them man … I had to put up a lil fight and them man end up beat out (escaped).”
The trio was seen running out of the man’s home, scaling the fence, and running away.
