Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my concern and frustration with the lack of care and support shown by our director of the Department of Public Information towards the staff while on assignments. As a dedicated employee, I have witnessed firsthand the lack of attention and consideration given to employees when they are working on assignments outside of the office.
During our recent out-of-town assignment, I was left feeling unattended and unsupported. The director did not even bother to check in on us, leaving us to fend for ourselves in remote areas. This lack of attention and care is not an isolated incident. Many colleagues have shared similar experiences of being left stranded and unsupported while on assignments.
What’s more alarming is that this lack of care and support seems to be a deliberate choice, as it appears our director is more focused on his own well-being than on ensuring the well-being and success of his employees. This lack of priority has resulted in a culture of burnout, stress, and anxiety among many employees. We are constantly feeling overwhelmed, undervalued, and unappreciated.
I urge someone to investigate this matter further and shed light on the struggles faced by employees like me. I believe that it is essential for leaders to prioritize the well-being and success of their employees, especially when working on assignments outside of the office.
I hope that this letter will serve as a wake-up call for our director to take a hard look at their leadership style and make necessary changes to ensure that employees are supported and cared for during their assignments.
