As far as I can remember GPL has always fallen short on their only task which is to supply sufficient, reliable and efficient power supply throughout Guyana. This problem will never resolve, because GPL is always 10 steps behind. There is growing power demand and GPL wouldn’t be able to catch up. To resolve this would mean buying several more generators, upgrading power lines etc.
The only solution is for the government to start distributing free solar systems to every single building. Whether it be home, government building, or business. These systems would ease the burden from GPL having to provide the growing power needs. This seems expensive at first, but if you consider GPL’s cost of keep buying more and more generators, fuel, line maintenance, and electricity theft. It might be feasible.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Rajesh Singh
