Scrabble Association says thanks, another competition to be played shortly
Kaieteur Sports – Due to the success of the recently held scrabble competition organised by the Guyana Scrabble Association (GSA), they are taking the opportunity to say a big thank you. The GSA lauds the support of main sponsor the Lui and Associates Land Surveying Company of Georgetown. The Trophy Stall and owner Ramesh Sunich also comes in for commendation for their support and sponsorship.
The 6 rounds competition was held on the 11th at the Flavas Restaurant and Bar at Charlotte Street was coordinated by Rai Sharma, while Nellisha and Waveney Johnson were the tournament directors.
The GSA is making a concerted effort to have the game revived in Guyana. Future plans include intruding the game in schools and have it played in other parts of Guyana.
Another tournament is slated to be held in early December. (Samuel Whyte)
