Kaieteur News – The Ministry of Education on Monday announced that its final distribution exercise for the ‘Because We Care’ cash grant is set for Thursday.
This will cater for the children whose parents/ guardian were unable to collect the cash grant during the initial exercise. According to the ministry, the distribution will take place at the following locations: Region Two at the Department of Education office; Region Three at the Department of Education building; Region Four (East Bank area) at the Department of Education building located at Friendship, and for the East Coast of Demerara area it will be at the Department of Education located at Triumph.
For Regions Five, Six, Seven, Nine and Ten it will be at the respective Department of Education buildings in those regions. As for the Georgetown area, distribution will be held at the Queen’s College auditorium.
The distribution exercise will begin at 09:00hrs and end at 17:00hrs (5pm). It was reported that this year each school child will be given a cash grant of $40,000.
