Kaieteur News – A man on Monday dropped a Karibee rice bag containing a single barrel shotgun loaded with a live 12-guage cartridge after he saw police ranks heading towards him at Lime Tree Backdam, Cuyuni River, Region Seven.
The ranks were on a mobile patrol when they noticed the man drop the bag and ran. As a result, they chased the man who managed to evade them. Notwithstanding his escape, the ranks retrieved the rice bag containing the loaded gun.
