Dem Boys Seh…
Kaieteur News – De Prezzie believes he is a dance man. He think he gat moves. But people just being courteous and generous to he when he strutting he awkward stuff on de stage.
De real dancing gan happen this week. Uncle Sam Secretary of State coming to GT. Well, he really coming to de Caribbean and he gan pop in fuh give a lil lecture to Prezzie.
De Prezzie done decide he gan go to China later this month. And just de mention of de word China is enough dese days fuh cause de Americans fuh get real upset. But dem diplomats know when fuh smile and when fuh shake dem fingers in yuh face.
De world of politics is nuff theatrics and this week’s visit promises to send a message to Guyana that yuh nah need to go to China. Uncle Sam gan lend yuh all de money yuh need, with interest and strings attached of course.
Is a delicate dance of diplomacy gan be taking place this week in GT. Deh gan gat nuff shuffling and shifting, double twists and turns. And Prezzie might even get to practice he moonwalk. Diplomacy, like a dance, is a complex interplay of steps and counter-steps. China, no longer de USSR, is who de Americans want to keep out of de Caribbean. So dem boys hope that Prezzie gan try fuh show de blinking man dat China already well entrenched in Guyana. Prezzie should carry he fuh dinner at de New Thriving. By de way…Happy 4th July!
