Kaieteur News – On February 25, 2023 Valiant performed to a sold-out crowd in Guyana for the second time in less than a month; no doubt a groundbreaking achievement and first time ever in the country.
Guyana turned up for Valiant and Stalk Ashley, who performed courtesy of Guyana’s premiere promotional company, Slingerz Family Entertainment. ‘Westside Mashramani Weekend’ did not disappoint; it was indeed “a job well done” by all parties involved. Performing to yet another sold out event, Valiant delivered another exceptional live show.
Valiant, the Diplomats team including managers Steco and Chopline are overwhelmed by the level of support they have received in Guyana thus far. To show appreciation, Slingerz Family Entertainment and Valiant created an opportunity to connect and engage with local fans that supported him throughout his rise to stardom; giving back to the local community was of paramount importance.
Prior to his star-studded show, Valiant and Slingerz Family Entertainment visited many communities across Guyana to include Regent Street, Tiger Bay, Albouystown, Stabroek Market and Leopold Street. Valiant took time to show his appreciation through monetary gifts, taking photos, speaking and liming with his fans throughout the various communities.
Valiant and Slingerz Family Entertainment placed emphasis on reaching a younger demographic, specifically in inner-city communities. Valiant’s desire to show young people the benefits of following their own aspirations and maximising their individual potential was the driving force behind this small yet impactful initiative.
The latest stop on Valiant’s jam-packed touring schedule, gives proof of the anticipation and demand that he continues to build across the Caribbean. Valiant is further scheduled to perform in Barbados, Grenada, Bermuda, St Maarten, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Trinidad over the coming months. His Canadian, US and UK tour schedule will be announced shortly.
Valiant’s recent performance in Guyana continues his busy start to 2023. He continues to dominate trending charts and headlines throughout Jamaica and the Caribbean. Valiant has his eyes set on international stardom and nurturing his global fan base.
Recent features on BBC 1Xtra’s Hot For 2023 list and Vogue’s ‘9 Artists Set To Takeover in 2023’, definitely show that he is headed in the right direction, as he continues to break down barriers through his self-coined ‘Choppa Gospel’ sound.
